Thinbody, double cutaway, semi-hollow body with solid maple block down center, rare mono electronics which make this guitar a real find usually found with a stereo varitone which are not as desirable as the rare mono configuration, 2 humbucking pickups, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs and a switch, tune-o-matic bridge, beautifully engraved Lyre Vibrato gives this guitar both beauty and great tone, multiple bound tortoise pickguard that extends below the bridge, multiple bound top, triple bound back, single bound ebony fingerboard, unbound F-holes, block fingerboard inlays, neck joins body at 19th fret, 5-piece split-diamond peghead inlay, gold plated parts, Grover rotomatic tuners, cherry finish. This guitar was previously owned by a professional musician who played and loved this guitar. Guitar shows signs of use but not abuse which is indicative of a great sounding and playing instrument which this beauty is. Both pickups are potent and well balanced early patent number pickups and deliver a punch which would put a smile on the late great Freddie King face who’s signature style of piercing blues was accentuated by his Cherry red ES-355. This guitar is considered by many as one of the Gibson Flagg Ship Guitars as noted by the beautiful split diamond headstock,triple ply binding,gold hardware engraved lyre vibrola and beautiful ebony fingerboard. This is one of the best guitars I have had the pleasure to play, full body tone and sustain strung with .09 strings with low action guaranteed to please even the most discerning palates both in tone and playability.
